Can Trump Fix Hollywood, Best Musicals, & DJI's Big New Drone Rival

'Can Trump Fix Hollywood, Best Musicals, & DJI's Big New Drone Rival

Hey Readers,

Welcome back! A lot has been going on in the industry this week (you can probably guess what the top story is), so let’s get right to it.

First up — you were right. We’re talking Trump tariffs. The President announced that the United States will be putting 100% tariffs on foreign films, expressing that he wants to “Make Hollywood Great Again.” Well, we took some time to share some ideas on how he can actually do that — no tariffs required.

Also, we’re exactly one month away from the Tony Awards. What better way to gear up for the festivities than to peruse a list of the best movies based on musicals that took home the big prize — and then binge-watch that entire list before June 7th? (Sounds like a good plan, honestly.)

Lastly, watch out, DJI! There’s a new drone company on the loose, and word has it that its drones fly longer, farther, quieter, and stronger. Yikes.

Okay, let’s get to it!

The truth is that Hollywood does need help, and whether or not you believe that Trump is acting in good faith to offer it through these tariffs, we share some ideas on what he can actually do to help American movies and TV survive.
